Nation of Language

Ian Richard Devaney, the singer and guitarist of New-York’s Nation of Language, is said to have been inspired to start the band after hearing the OMD track “Electricity” in his dad’s car. It reminded him of how much he liked the song as a little kid. And that’s what Nation of Language sounds like: the ’80s filtered through the sensibilities of a child, and like memory and nostalgia.
