Balkon

Some have compared them to Sonic Youth, while others liken them to Świetliki or early Black Midi. Balkon’s got one word for them: everything-punk. They’re no fans of hiding behind genre labels, but they do admit to an affinity towards dirty guitar sounds and jazz. With just a self-published EP and a few tracks posted online, Balkon are at the start of their musical adventure, but they’re already enjoying success. The band scored an honorable mention at the 2024 edition of The Neighborhood Sounds Good, an arts program run by the city of Katowice.
