Mechatok

This isn't a classical guitar showcase, but... it could be. Mechatok, aka Timur Tokedemir, knows the instrument like no other, but while exploring the Berlin club scene, he felt a completely new vibe. He abandoned his classical education and threw himself into partying – he made his mark on the electronic scene with his debut EP, See Thru, and his melancholic-euphoric sound quickly attracted artists like Yung Lean, Palmistry, and Bladee. By the age of 21, he had already toured Asia, America, and Europe, and released the album All My Time on Lorenzo Senni's label. Mechatok creates music that feels like something from another planet, yet strangely familiar – minimalist, crystalline, yet full of emotion. His tracks are influenced by video games, futuristic pop, and club romanticism. He has released a collaborative album with Bladee, remixes with Charli XCX and Evian Christ, and his live performances are somewhere between an ambient trip and a rave for introverts.
