OFF Festival Katowice 2019: Thanks, till next time!

Yet another edition of the OFF Festival has come and gone. We want to thank everyone from the bottom of hearts for spending an amazing three days with us. We’re already preparing for next year’s festival, August 7 to 9, 2020.

This year’s festival was driven by riveting performances from frontmen and frontwomen. Witnessing Suede’s Brett Anderson leave everything on the stage, Jarvis Cocker’s energy and sense of humor, Neneh Cherry’s charisma, Hani Rani’s charm and musical talent, and the passionate performance by slowthai was
an experience unlike any other. But it was also a festival of brilliant bands:
the evergreen Dezerter (Don’t believe us? Ask a cop); the beautiful, hypnotic melodies of Stereolab; the wonderful swinging sounds of Durand Jones & The Indications; the insolent and uncompromising black midi; Ludziki z Naprawdę Dużym Zespołem, who conjured a curious aura around original songs by Pablopavo; Foals and their set of bangers; the cosmic tunes of The Comet Is Coming; the furious Daughters; Wczasy’s impeccable grasp of the zeitgeist; and Silesia, the vivid, dancing, and enthusiastically received blast from the past. And how could we not mention Bamba Pana and Makiaveli, who rocked so hard—not once, but twice!—that they probably woke up the neighbors in the next voivodeship. But the truth is, we’d have to mention every single artist who performed at this year’s OFF Festival: an entire weekend of powerful, emotionally charged concerts.

We want to thank all the artists and also you, the audience, for creating an extraordinary atmosphere, for having fun and keeping it safe, and for all the smiles you shared when passing each other in between stages.

We also want to thank everyone who made this edition of the OFF Festival happen: our hosts, the city of Katowice; our main sponsor, Perlage, Tauron and Kompania Piwowarskia. We also thank our financial sponsors, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Institute of Music and Dance. Thank you to our partners, Radio Trójka and the Silesian Voivodeship, and to our media sponsors for your invaluable support: Onet, Polityka, KMAG, Newonce, AMS and

And once you’re done sleeping it off, mark your calendars: Next year’s edition will be held August 7–9, 2020, at Three Pond Valley. See you there!
